Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Comillas Pontifical University – ICADE in Madrid. I hold a Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University (USA).
I organize the States and Markets seminar series at the Department of Economics at ICADE. If you are interested in presenting your research, feel free to email me. Check out our list of confirmed speakers here.
In 2025, I am a Kiel-CEPR International Summer Fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Berlin, Germany. I have previously been a research visitor in the International Business and Strategy Department at the Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK).
My academic interests span International Trade Policy, International Business, Political Economy, and Latin American Economic History and Development. My research seeks to understand how political economy and geopolitical dynamics shape international markets.
Before my Ph.D. studies, I served as an adviser at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Uruguay, my home country.
