Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Comillas Pontifical University – ICADE in Spain, and I also teach at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. I hold a Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University (USA).
In 2025, I am a Kiel-CEPR International Summer Fellow in Berlin, Germany, and I have previously been a research visitor in the International Business and Strategy Department at the Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK).
My academic interests span International Trade Policy, International Business, Political Economy, and Latin American Economic History and Development. My research seeks to understand how political economy and geopolitical dynamics shape international markets, particularly their effects on developing economies and multinational firms in unstable global environments.
Before my Ph.D. studies, I served as an adviser at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Uruguay, my home country.
